Are there any products I should avoid using on my baby if I’m also using Sudocrem to treat nappy rash?
There are no known interactions with any other products.
Nappy rash normally starts with a slight redness on your baby’s bottom and upper thighs. The skin may be hot to touch and your baby might be a little sore and unhappy. To check the symptoms of nappy rash further, visit our nappy rash hub.
Less is more and with Sudocrem a little goes a long way! Only apply a small amount in a thin layer and massage in small circular movements until the Sudocrem has disappeared leaving a translucent film. If the area looks white afterwards, put a little less on next time.
If Sudocrem is applied correctly (a small amount, applied thinly), there is no evidence to suggest that it will affect a nappy’s ability to absorb urine.
Nappy rash is an irritation of the skin anywhere usually covered by a nappy, while it might be a little sore for your baby, the good news is that it’s not usually serious.
Babies can be more susceptible during teething, when changing from breast to bottle feeding or when starting on solid foods.
Sudocrem has been mum’s simple effective ally for over 80 years. We’re the market leaders in helping to soothe sore skin and treat nappy rash, Sudocrem products are used by millions of healthcare professionals, mums and dads everywhere.
Sudocrem is clinically proven to soothe, heal and protect your baby’s delicate skin and works in three simple ways:
